Unsettled (2007 – 2012)
‘Unsettled’ focuses in a metaphoric way on the worldwide phenomenon of industrial expansions and its consequences. Taking the Belgian village Doel and the surrounding polder area as a starting point, this series questions the international tendency of global shifts and the way they manifest themselves to the people and their surroundings.

Unsettled was exhibited, published and awarded (inter)nationally since 2008 and received a project grant from the Dutch ‘Anna Cornelis foundation’ in 2010. I am continuing the series and prepare a book publication scheduled for 2012.

Room 26.10.12 (2008 -2009)
An intimate series on a Serbian asylum family living in a 12m2 room of a Belgium Asylum centre waiting for their visa. On a second and wider level the series criticizes the Belgian asylum policy in general. It questions the slow procedures resulting in overcrowded asylum centres and people living there for years on end before receiving their verdict.

The series received the 2nd prize in the Dexia Press Award 2008.

Artists (2002 – 2007)
The studio of an artist is like a personal space breathing the atmoshpere of the artists ‘world’ and creations.

Driven by the interest in visual artists, their way of thinking, their work and the way their personality is represented in their studios I started this series of portraits of artists in their working environment. The series was realised with the help of the Museum of contemporary Arts in Ghent (S.M.A.K).

The series received an honourable mention in the IPA Awards 2008.

Panoptic (2005)
Accepting the invitation for being a photographer in residence at the cultural centre of Strombeek I created a series of portraits entitled ‘Panoptic’ featuring portraits of musicians, actors and visual artists related to this centre like Michel François, Gabriel Rios, Rik Vermeersch, Willy De Sauter, Pascal Schumacher etc. The series was shown in 5 partial exhibitions and one overview exhibition in the summer of 2005.
